Spiral plate heat exchangers are divided into splittable and non-split spiral plate heat exchangers.
The structure of the non-detachable spiral plate heat exchanger is relatively simple, with both ends of the spiral channel fully welded together.
Detachable spiral plate heat exchanger. Except for the sealing structure at both ends of the spiral channel, everything else is identical to the non-detachable type. To achieve mechanical cleaning, a detachable spiral channel is used, with one end open, sealed with a flat cover and gasket to prevent fluid leakage into the atmosphere or short circuits within the same channel. To improve the pressure-bearing capacity of the spiral plate, space-setting columns are used between the plates. The fluid inlet and outlet on the cylinder have two types: normal and tangential pipes. In China, tangential piping is widely used, as it has low fluid resistance and impurities are easily flushed out. Using a rotary bearing is relatively convenient and allows the heat exchanger to be placed upright or horizontally.
Heat exchange fluids A and B flow separately through both sides of the spiral plate, with one fluid flowing from outside to inside along the spiral channel to the central outlet; The other fluid enters through the center along a spiral channel and flows out from the inside out. The two fluids flow purely in a countercurrent manner.
The operating temperature depends on the materials used, which are mostly carbon steel, stainless steel, alumin
